NAKMAS' Commitment To You
• NAKMAS, and in particular, the NAKMAS Lead Welfare Officer , will be on hand to provide help, assistance and advice in your role as a NAKMAS approved Welfare Officer.
• NAKMAS will provide you with up to date news and important legislative updates as an approved NAKMAS Welfare Officer
• NAKMAS will directly send you a copy of the NAKMAS Stay Safe magazine ahead of the Chief Instructor receiving a copy.
• NAKMAS will ensure that a professional indemnity insurance at £5 million pounds via Zurich will be operative during your time as a NAKMAS approved Welfare Officer
Welfare Officers' Key Responsibilities
•Ensure that all instructors, assistant instructors, secretaries, welfare officers and club volunteers undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the NAKMAS NGB directly.
•Ensure that the NAKMAS Welfare Policy is available to all club officials, either in hard copy format or via link to the NAKMAS main website.
•Ensure that the NAKMAS Stay Safe magazine is read thoroughly and discuss aspect of its contents direct to the Chief Instructor.
•Inform NAKMAS of any incident immediately that specifically relates to a child (under 18 years) or any vulnerable adult.
